The electronic scale for cylinders is a fixed scale that can be used alone, but is often included in the automatic cylinder marking and testing lines.
This scale can be used both for gas cylinders, pipes or coils or for semi-finished products or for other products.
The scale has a fixed base in electro-welded section within which there is a retractable structure operated by two pneumatic or hydraulic cylinders.
This structure constitutes the weighing system and is equipped with four load cells, in order to optimize the accuracy of the measurement.
When the cylinder arrives in position, the base structure then supports it and thanks to the cylinders the scale lifts and releases the cylinder from the frame to be able to weigh it.
At the end of the weighing, the structure descends and the cylinder rests on the base frame.
The length of the scale and the spacing of the blades of the frame of the structure of the scale that support the cylinder is designed to ensure the secure support of each cylinder format produced by the customer.
The load cells are sized according to the weight range of the customer’s products.
Therefore the structure of the scale is universal: it can support cylinders from the smallest to the largest of the range produced by the customer without the need for adjustments.
The electronic scale for cylinders mod. BF needs to be loaded and unloaded because it has no unloading mechanisms.
It is usually found in lines where there is an upper carriage with grippers that come to pick up the cylinder. That is what happens for example with GOMG automatic marking machines.
If you want the scale to automatically unload the automatic cylinder then GOMG also produces the scale mod. BS which includes a tilting mechanism connected to a pneumatic cylinder.
In this case, the cylinder is unloaded by gravity from the side onto a unit parallel to the scale.
