The gas cylinder emptying and drying machine is a structure with six independent stations that receives the cylinders just tested and filled with water.
The stations are loaded automatically by a manipulator which is dedicated if the emptying is placed in line next to the hydraulic test or is shared with the hydraulic test if this is placed in front as in the compact solution. The manipulator turns the cylinders upside down before loading the stations.
Each station has a support plate with a recessed seat into which the parifier screwed to the cylinder will be inserted.
To ensure safety and prevent falls, each station has a pair of pneumatic cylinders that push two latches against the special locking seat of the regulators.
A nozzle is inserted into the cylinder and compressed air is blown to speed up the water discharge.
The nozzle is connected to a pneumatic cylinder and both are sized to be optimal for each type of cylinder in the range processed by the customer
The first part of blowing for emptying is followed by the second part of the operating cycle: the air valve closes automatically and the one for drying opens, where air or better hot nitrogen or steam are sprayed inside .
In the gas cylinder emptying and drying unit operating cycle, the emptying and drying time can be programmed via the touchscreen panel on the machine.
At the end of the cycle the nozzle descends and the cylinder is released from the latches, then it is picked up by the manipulator and unloaded on the next station which in the standard lines is the marking line.
